Curtis Bunn Groundbreaking author who narrated stories that left an enduring impact on Norfolk State University. In 2001, Curtis transitioned from being an award-winning sports journalist in Washington, D.C., New York, and Atlanta to a novelist. Since then, he has been writing in-depth, funny, perceptive, and intelligent stories that have won over readers and book clubs across the country.

Since its founding in 2003, the National Book Club Conference has grown to become one of the most prestigious yearly literary gatherings that assist African-American writers and readers. Curtis, who graduated from Norfolk State University in 1983 and received a Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2014, is a dedicated member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

He taught journalism as a guest speaker and adjunct professor at Morehouse College for four years. He is the deputy editor of www.AtlantaBlackStar.com, one of the top websites for African American news. His writings, which range from Essence No. 1 bestselling Baggage Check to the most current The Old Man in the Club (and everything in between), appeal to readers who like realistic tales that arouse all the emotions and are impossible to put down.
