Public Health Workforce Development

On behalf of the Joint School of Public Health at ODU and NSU (JSPH), the Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI) at NSU built an infrastructure to routinely provide professional development and community engagement opportunities. CPHI’s Executive Director works with its Assistant Director focused on not-for-credit education and training to develop and support JSPH workforce development strategies and programs. They also partner with JSPH faculty and staff to build or enhance partnerships with diverse stakeholders and identify or conduct needs assessments. The resulting workshops, certificate programs and other opportunities rely on other best practices for supporting the dynamic training needs of the public heath workforce.
