Dr. Harlan Zackery, Jr., is Coordinator of the Music Division and Director of Choral Activities at Norfolk State University, where he conducts the NSU Concert Choir. He holds degrees in music education and conducting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of Southern Mississippi.  He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico and Canada as a piano soloist, accompanist, orchestral and choral conductor and clinician. Dr. Zackery is a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity, and Pi Kappa Lambda music honor fraternity.  He currently serves on the board of directors for the Virginia Children’s Chorus, Virginia Choral Directors Association, and is on the Music Advisory Council for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
