Message from Javaune Adams-Gaston, Ph.D., President
Dear Spartans,
On the evening of Monday, January 27, The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) announced the temporary pause on federal grant funding and financial assistance. This has understandably raised concerns within the Spartan community. However, it is reassuring that NSU administrators have been actively addressing potential issues and monitoring the situation throughout the day and will continue to do so. At the time of this correspondence, we have been made aware that an administrative stay has been granted by a federal judge.
The university’s commitment to keeping this community informed and supported is commendable. By following developments and making necessary plans and adjustments, NSU is demonstrating its Culture of Care and our commitment to the NSU educational mission. This proactive approach will ensure the community has the necessary support to remain focused and successful.
Behold.
Javaune Adams-Gaston, Ph.D.
Norfolk State University President
