About Proximity
Proximity, in partnership with Norfolk State University (NSU), offers a convenient and comfortable living experience for students. Located at 1037 W. 39th Street, Norfolk, VA 23508, our apartment complex is ideally situated to serve students from ODU, NSU, and Bryant & Stratton College. The community provides a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for academic and social connections. Housing Fees
Utility: Residents are responsible for covering your electrical bill. Estimates provided by Proximity for this cost is ~$50/month per student.
Parking: there is a $30/month parking fee you will be required to pay if you choose to bring your personal vehicle.
Fees are added to your student account if you are assigned through NSU Housing.
Transportation
NSU will provide daily shuttle bus service between campus and Proximity. The service operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On weekdays, shuttles will depart NSU starting at 7:00 AM, arriving at Proximity between 7:20 AM and 7:25 AM, and will depart Proximity at 7:30 AM to return to NSU. The last shuttle from NSU to Proximity will leave at 10:30 PM Monday through Thursday and at 7:30 PM on weekends.
