Biography:
Suely M. Black holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and three graduate degrees in chemistry. Her research training is in computational chemistry, but her passion lies in education, professional development, service and management, having led or co-led several multi-investigator projects to advance Norfolk State in these areas. Black has also served the university as Faculty Senate President (2013-15), Faculty Representative to the Board of Visitors (2014-15), and as chair of various university committees.
