MCJR Student Showcase
Norfolk State University's Mass Communication and Journalism Department is
organizing the inaugural MCJR Student Showcase Awards.
This event provides undergraduate and graduate students with the chance to showcase their work to a wider audience and initiate the development of their portfolios. This is also an opportunity for students to have their work evaluated by MCJR alumni and local media professionals.
What media work would you submit to the competition? Photos? A short film? A written news story? Start thinking about what you will submit. See categories below.
Submission Guidelines for the MCJR Student Showcase Awards:
- Submitted work must be from either the Spring 2023, Summer 2023, or Fall 2023 semesters.
- Entries are accepted from course projects and job-related projects.
- Students are allowed to submit up to two entries. If two entries are submitted, they would need to be in different categories.
- Both undergraduate and graduate students of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department (MCJR) are eligible to apply for the MCJR Student Showcase Awards.
- A Faculty Endorser's signature is required for the submission to the MCJR Student Showcase Awards.
- Entries will be evaluated by MCJR alumni, faculty members, and media professionals.
