Brief Biography
Natalia Noginova graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with M.S. in Electronics and Automatics and received her  Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics in 1993 from Institute of Radio Engineering (IRE)  and Electronics,  Russian Academy of Science, Moscow, Russia.  Before joining Norfolk State University in 1997, she worked in IRE as a scientific staff,  a visiting scientist in MIT and a research assistant professor in Alabama A&M University.  Currently she is a professor at Department of Physics & Center for Materials Research, Norfolk State University.

Research Interests
Natalia Noginova’s research interests  include optical materials, optical and magnetic resonance spectroscopy,  plasmonics, metamaterials, and nanomagnetics. She authored and co-authored over 100 scientific publications (citation h-index = 29).   She has obtained research funding as P.I. and co-P.I. from NSF, AFOSR and DoD. She is a member of American Physics Society, Optica and Material Research Society, and serves as a reviewer for grant proposals and scientific journals.
