B.S. Computer Science - Software Engineering Curriculum Track

The Computer Science – Software Engineering Track prepares students to design, develop, and manage complex software systems. The curriculum emphasizes programming, data structures, algorithms, database design, and operating systems, alongside specialized courses in software engineering, quality assurance, project management, secure software, and distributed systems. Supported by a strong foundation in mathematics and communication, students gain hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle. Graduates are equipped for careers in software development, systems design, and advanced study in software engineering and related fields. 

The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Norfolk State University is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Computer Science Program Criteria.
