Lorie McCowan
Lorie McCowan is the COO for Bright Hope Capital, LLC (BHC), and its subsidiaries - Bright Hope Construction, LLC (dba R.J. Leeper Construction, LLC) and Bright Hope Hauling, LLC (dba Big Prime Hauling, LLC). She is responsible for optimizing organizational performance and efficiency, driving sustainable growth, delivering exemplary customer service, and overseeing risk management of the companies. As a key management team member, she oversaw BHC’s strategic goals that exceeded $100 million in revenues in 2023.
Active in the Charlotte, NC community, Lorie serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Mint Museum. She currently serves as the Vice President for the Norfolk State University Foundation Board. In 2017, she established the Lorie McCowan Endowment at NSU. The fund was established to provide financial assistance to NSU students reared in single-parent homes and majoring in Accounting.
McCowan earned a B.S. in Accounting from the School of Business at Norfolk State University.
