The NSU Writing Center welcomes students at all levels who have their own writing processes, purposes, and goals, and strives to create a world-class writing center that will strengthen students’ writing proficiency and meet the expectations of academic, professional, and global communities.


The NSU Writing Center empowers students, faculty, and staff across all disciplines to establish an effective method of critical thinking and writing by providing professional consultations, customizable resources and workshops that build students’ awareness of and confidence in their own writing process.

Hours of Operation

NSU Writing Center is located in Lyman Beecher Brooks Library, 1st floor
Fall / Spring Hours
Monday-Thursday: 9:00AM - 7:00PM
Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM

Summer Hours
Monday-Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Online appointments available
Monday 6:00-9:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM-3:00PM

Writing Center-West, located in Madison 109, will be closed from May 16 through August 19 for the summer.
