New Student Orientation

The Office of New Student Orientation strives to aid new students in their transition to the University. We work together with various departments to offer academic, financial, and social support to students and their families in their preparation for enrollment. Our program is tailored to introduce incoming first-year students and transfer students to Norfolk State University and equip them with the knowledge of academic support services, student development initiatives, and technology tools for academic achievement.

All new first-year students and transfer students are required to participate in and complete the New Student Orientation prior to enrollment. If you have any further questions or concerns pertaining to New Student Orientation, please email us at orientation@nsu.edu. 

 

Spring Orientation

Spring 2025 New Student Orientation registration is now open! 

Before registering, you must review the items on the admitted student checklist. 

• Please note that there are several steps to complete before you can register for NSO. To register for NSO log into your Application Portal. 
• To log in to your Application Portal, please utilize the username and password you originally created to log into your NSU Application.
