Who We Are
The Dr. Patricia Lynch Stith Student Success Center (PLSSSC) helps Spartans plan their path, register for classes, build strong study habits, and stay on track to graduate. Our team combines academic advising, tutoring, peer mentoring, and hands-on support so every student has what they need to succeed.
Our Mission: We promote student learning and degree completion by providing academic support services and programs that inform, empower and facilitate student success.
What We Do

Academic Advising
Our proactive advising model builds an ongoing relationship — primarily with freshmen and sophomores — to support smart decisions about your academic, social, and personal goals.
Services include:
- One-on-one advising sessions
- Academic skill development
- Academic Recovery Program (extra support if you're in academic jeopardy)
- Class registration
- SEM and GST 200 instruction
- Satisfactory Academic Performance (SAP) planning
- Career planning
- Support with completing university forms
- Referrals to other campus resources
