2022-2023 Learning Communities

The Learning Communities are limited to 25 students, which allows for opportunities for more individualized learning experiences and building relationships with peers and faculty. 

Food Access and Advocacy
Students interested in a hands-on food production and plant care experience. 

Visual Arts
Students interested and declaring a major in visual arts. 

Society of Spartan Sisters
Female identified students interested in gaining a critical understanding historical, contemporary, and pervasive gender-based oppression’s within our global world.

Chemistry
Students interested and declaring a major in Chemistry.

FACE IT
Students interested and declaring a major in Psychology.

SPECTRUM (LGBTQ+)
Students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning or any other sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Allies are also welcome. 

ARMY ROTC
Students accepted into the Army ROTC program. 

Street Smarts + Book Smarts
Students interested in developing, thinking, learning, reading, writing, discussing, and experiencing the surprising ways that school speaks to their experiences outside of school.

MENtality
Male identified students who seek to develop identity development, and engage in social advocacy. 

SPARTAN ACCESS TO SECONDARY EDUCATION (S.A.S.E)
Spartans Access to Secondary Education (S.A.S.E*.) will promote and sustain an interest in Secondary Education across the disciplines of English, History, Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Fine Arts, Mathematics, and Music.

Leadership 
The Leadership Learning Community is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore leadership development and concepts, both in and out of the classroom
