Learning Communities

The Learning Communities are limited to 25 students first-year students, which allows for opportunities for more individualized learning experiences and building relationships with peers and faculty. 

Army ROTC
This Learning Community is for first-year students interested in the Army ROTC program. AROTC fosters team building, camaraderie, and promotes a shared understanding of Army culture and values.

FACE IT
Students interested and declaring a major or minor in Psychology should consider this dynamic Learning Community.

Health Science
The Health Science Learning Community includes all health science majors, such as nursing, allied health, and all students majoring in biology or chemistry with the goal of entering health professions programs after graduation.

Imagine
The Imagine Learning Community is comprised of students from all majors who are eager to explore innovation and creativity in all artistic disciplines and the interdisciplinary practice in arts.

Innovative Boss Movers (I.B.M.)
This Learning Community will connect with local and national businesses as well as entrepreneurs to gain a better understanding of business and the global market

iSpartan
Open to all Technology and Engineering majors; Students in the iSpartan Technology and Engineering Learning Community will get a chance to explore their academic major and future careers as soon as they arrive on campus

Rhyme & Reason
Open to all majors; The Rhyme and Reason Learning Community is based on various forms of written and verbal expression.

Spartan Civic Leaders
The community will participate in activities to address issues of public concern and enact positive social changes.

The Network
Students in this community will have the opportunity to explore branding, storytelling, pop culture and mass media, as well as social media
