Refunds
Refunds are issued to students after all University obligations are paid in full. Financial aid awarded is not eligible to be refunded until after the financial aid has been disbursed into the student account. Students can log into the MYNSU account and review the Account Summary by Term to determine if the aid has been disbursed.
RefundS/DIRECT DEPOSIT
The refund process typically begins the third full week of classes for each semester. Students using direct deposit for refunding are refunded first. Please sign up for direct deposit of refunds through MyNSU to expedite the refund process. Notifications will be sent to students via their NSU e-mail accounts once refunds have been processed. Students who do not have an active bank account may open a free student eBanking checking account online with Bank of America. Features and benefits of this checking account can also be found on the Bank of America website.
Refund Period for Dropped Classes
Students who drop a class after the 100% drop date will receive a "W" grade, and the dropped class will be included in the classes attempted for financial aid purposes. Dropping a class may result in a reduction or cancellation of financial aid awards. Financial Aid recipients are required to have permission from a Financial Aid Counselor before the drop can be processed.
Students who wish to drop a class (or classes) will be charged according to the following schedule:
