Elementary Education Pk-6 (BSED.EED.PK6)
The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSED.EED.PK6) is designed to prepare students to receive a professional teaching license in the elementary setting.  

Admission Requirements:

All students are expected to apply to Teacher Education during their sophomore year.  Below are the requirements for admission into Teacher Education:

  • Complete 30 or more hours of coursework.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Receive a grade of “C” or higher in all coursework.
  • Receive a grade of “C” or higher in EDU 201 – Foundations of Education.
  • Passing score on the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment (VCLA).
  • A copy of a current transcript.
  • Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member outside the School of Education.
