B.S. Computer Science - Software Engineering Track (DNIMAS)
The Computer Science – Software Engineering Track (DNIMAS) combines rigorous computer science training with a strong applied science foundation. Students develop expertise in software development, algorithms, database systems, and operating systems, alongside advanced coursework in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The curriculum emphasizes the full software lifecycle, including quality assurance, project management, secure systems, and distributed computing. Through applied science seminars and hands-on experiences, graduates are prepared for careers in complex, science-driven software environments or for advanced study in software engineering and interdisciplinary fields.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Norfolk State University is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Computer Science Program Criteria.
