The Pell Initiative at Norfolk State University advances student success by providing holistic, comprehensive support for primarily Pell-eligible students from entry through completion, while also supporting transfer students and students who are parents through intentional engagement, experiential and work-based learning, and strategically designed student supports. 

Our Mission

The mission of the Spartan Pathfinders program at Norfolk State University is to support Pell-eligible students through a comprehensive approach that promotes academic success, personal well-being, and career readiness. By focusing on students’ holistic development and preparedness, the program empowers students to confidently persist, graduate, and transition into meaningful careers as well-rounded, resourceful global citizens and leaders for the 21st century.
