We strive to provide culturally sensitive mental health and preventive services to empower, transform, and meet the developmental needs of students.
Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and student. Counselors utilize various evidenced-based therapeutic techniques to engage students in exploring stressors, positive coping skills, and resources to address mental health concerns. The Counseling Center offers various mental health support services including:
- Crisis intervention
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Psychotropic medication management
- Consultation
- Psycho-educational outreach and programming
- Domestic violence and sexual assault support
Confidentiality
Counseling Center records are separate from academic records. The Counseling Center does not release information about a student except when there is written consent or as required by law.
