Communications and Marketing
The Office of Communications and Marketing (C&M) strengthens and protects the NSU brand by managing its image and increasing its positioning through brand awareness. C&M works to support NSU’s mission through strategic planning, marketing, advertising, media relations, crisis management, internal and external communications.

Leadership and Major Gifts
The primary function of the Office of Leadership and Major Gifts is to raise private funds for the support of scholarships, academic programs, student life enrichment programs, and endowment and capital projects. Every gift makes a powerful impact on student life and learning.

Giving to NSU
Norfolk State University is an institution of higher learning that strives to provide a quality education for all of its students. NSU is proud to be one of the nation’s largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and serves many students who are the first in their families to attend college.

NSU Foundation - NSUF
The Norfolk State University Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit fundraising corporation established to support quality education and to generate private financial support for the academic development of the University. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members serve as advocates for the University and its programs.

NSURA
The Norfolk State University Retirees Association (NSURA) is beaming with excitement as we approach our tenth anniversary. Established on July 12, 2000, by ten dedicated, energetic retirees, NSURA has continued to grow in size and service to our beloved University. The Association serves as the voice of Norfolk State University’s retirees.

University Events
The Office of University Events is responsible for university-wide planning, coordination, and execution of events that enhance and supports the image and mission of the University. The events are mostly generated from the Office of the President and the Office of the University Advancement. However, the The Office of University Events also assists with the planning of special events within the various campus departments.

Wilder Center
Nestled right on the Norfolk State University campus, the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center is one of the area's newest concert halls and is known as a great local place to see concerts and theatre. With a modest goal of entertaining NSU students and the community, the Wilder Performing Arts Center looks to promote the diverse arts scene. The concert hall is also home to the North American Music Festival.
