Readmission: Return to Active Status
The Readmission/Return to Active Status Program, also known as the Reclamation Program, helps former Norfolk State University students who left before earning their degree return to NSU and graduate.
Who is eligible?
To participate, you must:
- Be a former NSU student
- Be 24 years of age or older
- Have not been enrolled in NSU classes for at least the past five years
How is this different from regular readmission?
Students who meet the program's eligibility requirements and have a GPA of 1.9 or lower may also apply for grade forgiveness. If granted, failing grades are removed from the GPA calculation (they stay on the transcript), which raises the GPA to 2.0 and allows the student to be readmitted to the University.
What degree programs can I pursue?
You may pursue any undergraduate degree program offered at NSU. An advisor will help you understand your degree completion requirements.
