Financial Aid


The Financial Aid Office staff at Norfolk State University works diligently to assist students as they pursue their educational endeavors. NSU offers a wide variety of financial aid programs (i.e., scholarships, grants, student employment opportunities and loans). Our goal is to provide equitable financial assistance options to prospective and current students.

2020-2021 FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open for the 2020-2021 academic year. This year's FAFSA is based on family/Student income for the 2018 tax year. Be sure to include our federal school code, 003765. You can complete the application one of the following ways:
