The TransferMation Center houses trained Staff who is specializes in understanding the needs of transfer students and how to best service you through a one-stop shop! The TransferMation Center provides administrative services, academic and financial planning, student activities and leadership development programs. Please stop by and visit us in the Student Center room 201.
NSU Round Up
The Office of Admissions will host “Round Up” for prospective students. Prospective students will be able to fill out the admissions application with the $45 application fee waived and receive an on-site admissions decision. If you are interested in attending college for the first time or would like to transfer from another college, please plan to attend one of our sessions.

New Student Orientation - 2016
One of the first steps to becoming a Spartan is attending New Student Registration/Orientation. During that time, you’ll meet with academic advisors, register for classes, meet other new students, and learn more about campus resources.

NSU Transfer Thursdays
This program is for prospective transfer students who are interested in completing their bachelor's degree at Norfolk State University. Transfer Thursdays will provide transfer students with the opportunity to learn more about Norfolk State University directly from faculty and currently enrolled students. The program will include on-site admissions, financial aid information, and an opportunity to discuss program requirements. learn more
The TransferMation Center and Student Activities invites current and prospective transfer students to attend our “Transfer Mixer” this Fall.
Current transfer students will receive tips on how to access campus resources and how to join student organizations. Prospective transfer students are also invited to hear from current students and speak to staff regarding admissions.
Our mixer will consist of an evening of fun, food and fellowship while you learn how to make the most of your transfer experience.
The best way to learn about the Infinite Possibilities available at Norfolk State University is through a visit to our beautiful campus. You may choose to participate in a campus tour or to attend one of our Open House events.

Every April, the TransferMation Center at NSU provides events and workshops that provide opportunities to become a productive Spartan.
We know that students who participate in a quality mentor program are more prepared academically and socially for challenges they face during their transition to the university. Stop by the TransferMation Center and meet a peer mentor. They will be able to help you navigate the campus, listen to your questions and direct you to resources that you may need during your transition.
