Requirements
The Office of Transfer Admissions & Services evaluates applicants based on their individual potential for successful graduation. Prospective transfer students will be admitted to Norfolk State University if the following requirements have been met:
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended have been submitted to the Office of Transfer Admissions & Services.
- The applicant has achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above, on a 4.0 grading scale from a regionally accredited college/university. The applicant must receive a minimum of 12 college credit hours from the last school attended. If a minimum of 12 college credit hours is not earned, previous institutions will be evaluated to determine admission eligibility.
- High school transcript/GED scores and official copy of standardized test results (SAT/ACT) are required if fewer than 12 college semester hours of credit are transferable.

Steps to apply as a transfer STUDENT
- Complete online application
- Submit official transcripts from all previous schools attended
- Submit Dean's Report to last institution attended (must be received prior to course enrollment)
How to Send Official College Transcripts
Electronic Transcripts can be sent by an electronic transcript delivery service (Ex: Parchment, E-Script or National Student Clearing House) to transfer@nsu.edu or by mail.

PASSPort Program
NSU created the PASSport Program to prepare students to meet the academic requirements of NSU. Upon successful completion of all prerequisites students will qualify for guaranteed admission to NSU.
