Jonathan Mason Sr., founder and CEO of JAM Media Solutions, pastor of Northeast Baptist Church, and past international president of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., believes that the legacy of humanitarianism still rests on global leadership, excellence, and life-changing impact.

Mason served as the 34th International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Through his presidency and earlier leadership roles, Mason championed social justice and community activism.

He notably provided national leadership during the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March, opening Phi Beta Sigma’s headquarters as the National Mobilization space—continuing a historic tradition of involvement dating back to 1995. He was also  Founder & Chairman of the International Anti-Hazing Campaign.

In addition to his outstanding career in radio, which he turned into ownership a few years ago, Jonathan is a man who supports his community. He owns digital newspapers and stations in Iowa and North Carolina.

Additionally, Mason lettered in football, graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in News and Public Affairs with a Minor in Public Relations, and presided over both the Pan Hellenic Council and the Delta Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. He has continued to be dedicated and involved at NSU, where he proudly gave theClass of 2015 Commencement Address and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate.

Mason has over 25 years of experience as a successful radio sales professional. He provided his time to Norfolk State's journalism and mass communications useful, real-world examples.

In addition togiving his time, Mason has established an endowment for students enrolled in the Mass Communications Program at Norfolk State University. In 2017, the university awarded him the Distinguished Alumni Award, which is the greatest distinction given to an exceptional alumnus.
