
Chloé Jones
Chloe Jones is a retired educator who spent 31 years teaching in Norfolk, Richmond, and the Chesapeake. She spent an additional 10 years working in the private sector before fully retiring in 2014. She earned a master's degree from Virginia Tech University after graduating from Norfolk State College(now University).
She has held several leadership positions, such as Charter/ Life member, vice president and special projects chair of NCNW; recording secretary, vice president, president, and special projects chair of the Chesapeake Chapter of NSUAA; chaplain, parliamentarian, chapter mentor, Awards Chair and recording secretary of NSUAA; past president, Cultured Pearl(50+ years)and member of the Norfolk Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
At the moment, she serves as Chaplain of SHARPC, where she served two terms as president, the South Hampton Roads Pan-Hellenic Council. In addition, she was a trustee and scholarship chair at Third Baptist Church; she is currently co-chair of the Ushers Ministry, chair of the Hospitality Ministry, and co-chair of the Legacy Ministry at the Historic Shiloh Baptist Church. Chloe is a lifetime member of the National Council of Negro Women, the NAACP, the Norfolk State University Alumni Association, and the NSU Society.
Furthermore, Chloe joined The HBCU Nation Radio Show about the South Hampton Roads Pan Hellenic Council and Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc.'s leadership program. Chloe is a servant/volunteer throughout HRs. “ Because the Lord keeps on blessing me, my parents pushing me and Norfolk State education, Spartan relationships and lifelong friends encouraging me, I am a blessed “chile”, doing all I can; whenever I can for whomever I can for as long as I can”.
