The Spartan Student Parent Program (SSP-N) is designed to empower student-parents by providing intentional support that recognizes their distinct obligations and challenges. The program shares college success strategies that specifically address student-parents’ academic, financial, and personal concerns, helping them build confidence and persistence throughout their educational journey.
At the heart of the program is a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes inclusiveness and belonging. Student-parents engage with peers, faculty mentors, and the broader campus community to create meaningful relationships that encourage engagement, accountability, and success. Through these connections, faculty mentoring plays a vital role in guiding students, offering academic direction, professional insight, and encouragement as they work toward their goals.
