Commuter Students

Commuter Student Services contributes directly and indirectly to the enhancement of the educational experience of all undergraduate commuter students at Norfolk State University. We seek to help you, the commuter student, become an active participant in campus life so that your experience at Norfolk State University is truly satisfying and enriching.

We accomplish this by providing services, programs, volunteers, and outreach on your behalf. Involvement is the best way for students to take advantage of what the university has to offer. It allows students to make friends and feel "at home" here at Norfolk State University. We help commuters get involved in campus activities such as Agoge Welcome Week, Homecoming, Pep Rallies and the hundreds of activities planned each year at Norfolk State University.

Study Locations

Commuter Lounge on 3rd floor of Student Center, Room 313, Computer Lab, Room 311 of the Student Center, the NSU Library and some academic buildings have designated areas for students to wait and study between classes.
