AAUP NSU Chapter Executive Committee

Welcome to the Executive Committee page of the American Association of University Professors, Norfolk State University (AAUP NSU) Chapter. The Executive Committee serves as the leadership body of the chapter and advances the mission and values of AAUP. Our committee supports faculty, promotes academic freedom, and strengthens shared governance within the university. 


Meet the team 

The team helps guide the AAUP NSU Chapter and represents the interests of the university community.

Dr. Batrina Martin – President
Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health at NSU. She is committed to collaborating with faculty, administrators, and students to foster an academic environment that values scholarship, transparency, and professional development. 

Dr. Melody Armstrong – Vice President
Dr. Armstrong is an Instructor in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health. She supports chapter initiatives focused on faculty collaboration, professional growth, and academic excellence.

Mildred Jackson – Secretary-Treasurer
Mildred is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Health Informatics degree in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health. She assists with chapter communications, meeting documentation, and financial coordination.

Graduate Student Liaison
Graduate students are welcome to participate in the AAUP NSU Chapter. The chapter encourages graduate students to engage in professional development, learn about faculty governance, and explore opportunities within the teaching profession.  

Dr. Reddy Dondeti – Past President
Dr. Dondeti is a Professor in the Department of Business, specializing in Accounting, Finance & Information Management. As Past President, he provides guidance and institutional knowledge to support the continued growth and leadership of the AAUP NSU Chapter.
