SPECTRUM LEARNING COMMUNITY

A First-Year Learning Community

About

The Spectrum Learning Community (LC) is a welcoming and inclusive community designed to support first-year students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, nonbinary, or as allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Spectrum is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and empowering environment where students can build meaningful connections, explore identity, engage in advocacy, and participate in programs that promote equity, inclusion, and social justice.

Through intentional programming, collaborative learning experiences, community engagement, and opportunities for leadership and involvement, students in Spectrum connect classroom learning with personal growth and community impact. The Learning Community experience is designed to help students thrive academically, socially, and personally throughout their first year of college.
