What is supplemental instruction?

Supplemental Instruction is an academic support program utilizing peer assistance in the form of group sessions for selected courses. SI sessions are typically designed for historically difficult courses and are facilitated by a trained SI leader. The SI leader attends class sessions and confers with the professor to develop activities and sessions to help students process the material and work collaboratively to organize and master the subject content.
