B.S. Computer Science - Cybersecurity Track
The Computer Science – Cybersecurity Track provides a strong foundation in computing with a specialized focus on securing systems and data. Students gain hands-on experience in programming, data structures, computer organization, operating systems, and software engineering, alongside cybersecurity topics such as cryptography, network security, digital forensics, and network defense. Supported by mathematics and science coursework, the program emphasizes analytical thinking, problem-solving, and professional communication. Graduates are prepared for careers in cybersecurity, network administration, and secure software development, or for advanced study in computer science and related fields.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Norfolk State University is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Computer Science Program Criteria.
