B.S. Computer Science - (DNIMAS) Computer Engineering Track
The Computer Science (DNIMAS) – Computer Engineering Track equips students with a strong foundation in computing, electronics, and system design through an integrated curriculum spanning programming, data structures, computer organization, operating systems, cybersecurity, and data communications. The program is reinforced by rigorous coursework in calculus, discrete mathematics, probability, physics, and electronic circuits, along with hands-on experience in microprocessors and embedded systems. Emphasizing problem-solving, innovation, and professional skills, this track prepares graduates for careers in hardware–software integration, embedded systems, and advanced computing, as well as for graduate study in computer science and computer engineering.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Norfolk State University is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Computer Science Program Criteria.
