The Department of Biology at NSU follows a 2+2 model of professional advising to support students throughout their academic careers. Students in their freshman and sophomore years (fewer than 60 earned credits) are advised by Ms. Paula Balicat in the Student Success Center, located in the Nursing & General Education Building, Suite 100.
Students who have earned 60 credits or more (juniors and seniors) are advised by the Departmental Advisor, Ms. Monique Harris, whose office is located in the Wood Science Building, Room 326I.
Both advisors work closely with the Biology Department Chair to ensure that students receive timely and accurate information regarding curriculum updates, course availability, and other important academic matters.
