University Readmission/Return to Active Status program - for the Completion of Your Degree
The Readmission/Return to Active Status Program is designed to facilitate the continuing education and subsequent graduation of Norfolk State University students who left the institution prior to earning their degree. The program takes full advantage of technology while maintaining academic integrity and the intellectual rigor of Norfolk State University.

The Program is designed to facilitate the continuing education and the subsequent graduation of Norfolk State University students who have left the institution prior to earning their degree.
Eligibility
What are the eligibility requirements for the program?
- Former Norfolk State University student
- Twenty-four (24) years of age or older
- No enrollment in NSU classes for the previous five (5) years
Admittance
What is the difference in being readmitted as a Readmission Program student as opposed to regular readmission?
Students seeking admission, through the Readmission/Return to Active Status Project, whose GPA is 1.9 or lower, may apply for grade forgiveness. If granted, all failing grades will be deleted from the calculation of the GPS (not removed from the transcript) raising the GPA to 2.0, thus allowing the student to be readmitted to the University.
