NSU Ranked as Top, Best, and Military Friendly

Top 25, Best College 2023, Military Friendly, Top Schools and UniversitiesFour recent college and university rankings place Norfolk State University near the top of the list.

The HBCU Times magazine recently ranked Norfolk State #10 in its Top 25 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Rankings for 2023. HBCU Times publishes positive news about HBCUs.

In another recent ranking, BestAccreditedColleges.org designated Norfolk State as a "Best College 2023." The organization uses an objective approach to judging schools by employing a proprietary ranking system, which combines current data points from the U.S. Department of Education with school-specific details.

In addition, Virginia Living Magazine named Norfolk State among Virginia’s “2023 Top Schools and Universities” in their annual State of Education super section. A free digital version of the magazine is available for viewing and downloading at https://issuu.com/capefear/docs/2023_04apr_issuu.

Also, earlier in March, Norfolk State University was designated as a 2023-2024 Top 10 Military Friendly School, ranking No. 1 in the Small Public category. The designation is made by Military Friendly, which is owned and operated by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business.

Military Friendly uses data from public data sources, proprietary data from its survey and personal data from surveys of veterans themselves to determine the designations. Over 1,800 schools participated in the 2023-2024 survey, 530 schools earned awards. The 2023-2024 Military Friendly Schools list will be published in G.I. Jobs magazine’s May issue. See the ranking at https://www.militaryfriendly.com/norfolk-state-university-is-military-friendly/
