Residential Leaders from Norfolk State University’s Office of Housing and Residence Life proudly joined their colleagues from various colleges and universities across Virginia at the distinguished 2023 VACUHO Student Leadership Conference (SLC). Hosted by the Virginia Association of College and University Housing Officers (VACUHO), this conference dedicated to sharing best practices in college student housing occurred over the weekend of November 10th at Richard Bland College of William & Mary in Petersburg, VA.
Congratulations to our exceptional student leaders, who not only participated actively but also secured two noteworthy awards, one of which is the conference's top honor. The team includes Residential Leaders Jacob Roman, Reginald Rice, Emmanuel Faulkner, Brian Peede, Justice Austin, Marva Taylor, Brianna Charles, Samuel Carrington, Robert Dungee, and Graduate Assistant Jaelin Livett. Their representation of NSU was truly commendable.
Over the past 15+ years, NSU has been honored with the service award multiple times, highlighting our ongoing dedication. This marks the fourth occasion on which NSU has earned the esteemed Overall Conference Award, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to excellence in student housing.
