Mental Health Counseling (Offered at Norfolk Naval Base and on campus)
This is an accelerated concentration designed for students interested in Mental Health Counseling and family service agencies. Teacher certification is not required, applicable or available. Refer to the Graduate School for application deadlines for fall, spring and summer admissions.
REQUIREMENTS
Urban Education/Mental Health Counseling
The Mental Health Counseling Concentration requires that applicants have the following:
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
- Complete an NSU online Graduate application
- A minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three letters of recommendation from faculty or employers familiar with the applicant's academic and professional background
- A personal statement of the applicant’s professional interests and goals
