About
The Innovative Boss Movers (IBM) Learning Community connects students with local and national businesses, as well as successful entrepreneurs, to deepen their understanding of business and the global market. By joining IBM, students develop essential skills, expand their networks, and gain real-world experience. This dynamic community offers mentorship, hands-on projects, and industry insights, providing a competitive edge. It fosters collaboration, creativity, and leadership while exposing members to diverse perspectives. With access to internships, workshops, and networking events, students build confidence and unlock career opportunities. IBM empowers future leaders by fostering growth, innovation, and success in today’s fast-paced business world.
The I.B.M. Learning Community will:
- Assist students with their transition to college and their scholarly and professional identities.
- Develop advanced knowledge of business.
- Use real-life experience to enhance the academic world and relate academic work to real-life experience.
- Help scholars develop comprehensive transferable skills which can be applied to future employment.
- Have an exclusive event with the School of Business in the fall and spring semester.
- Go off-campus to meet with local entrepreneurs.

Requirements: Students who are interested must register for the Learning Communities sections of Spartan Seminar (SEM) 101 and 102. Participation in Innovative Boss Movers (IBM) events and activities, as well as scheduled co-curricular Learning Communities events and activities, is mandatory for those in the IBM Learning Community.
