Norfolk State University

The mission of the School of Business at Norfolk State University is to produce successful, ethical, competitive and innovative leaders for the global environment through high-quality instruction, research and service.

At Norfolk State's School of Business, we enroll over 700 baccalaureate students in two degree programs: Accountancy and Business. Within the business major there are seven areas of concentration Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Finance Services, Management, Management Information Systems and Marketing. We're proud of our programs, and the School has distinguished itself in a number of ways. NSU was one of the nation's first Historically Black Colleges and Universities to have its business school accredited by AACSB-International, the field's premier accrediting body.

AACSB accreditation serves as the hallmark of excellence in business education. We remain the region's only AACSB-accredited business school to offer a concentration in Entrepreneurship, and we are the first HBCU in the nation to have an Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program. Housed in the Ernest M. Hodge Institute for Entrepreneurship, the EIRP enables our students to serve as consultants to prospective entrepreneurs as well as to actual for- and not-for-profit businesses seeking growth opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. In addition to the above programs and concentrations that are accredited by AACSB International, the Business School also administers a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism and Hospitality.
