Dr. Gladys M. Bennett, NSU Testing Services Director, presented jointly with the Executive Director of Modern States Education Alliance and Director of CLEP Outreach and Account Management at the 2024 National College Testing Association (NCTA) conference in August.
Dr. Bennett presented information on the University’s partnerships with Modern States that allow NSU students to benefit financially and academically while earning CLEP college credits at no cost to them. The presentation described key program elements and their portability to other Colleges and Universities.
Additionally, Dr. Bennett recently formed a partnership with Kryterion Testing Network (KTN), a global leader in the world’s booming certification-testing industry that administers and proctors exams essential for hiring and career advancement.
Under the agreement, Norfolk State University will provide the secure, proctored environment essential for local test takers eager to prove their skills and competencies to current or future employers or to professional associations, many of whom could well be located on the other side of the world.
“We’re delighted to have Norfolk State University join the constellation of KTN centers that help people every day around the world advance their careers—and their dreams— through the certification tests that prove competency and skill,” said Samantha Garcia, Associate Director of Test Delivery Services for Kryterion. “We select test centers very carefully,” said Garcia, “because they’re so important to maintaining the integrity of the local testing environment.”
