Dr. Fairfax honored by UNCF

Dr. Colita Nichols Fairfax, professor of social work, will be honored by UNCF (United Negro College Fund) of Hampton Roads. She will receive the 2020 UNCF Masked Award on March 7 at the Mayors’ Masked Ball. According to UNCF, the Masked Award – Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams – is presented “to those who have served as a beacon of hope to keep the doorway open for deserving students and the greater community.”
