iSpartan Learning Community

A First-Year Learning Community

Students in the iSpartan Technology and Engineering Learning Community will get a chance to explore their academic major and future careers as soon as they arrive on campus. Students will take classes together and work with upperclassmen peer mentors in their same or similar majors.

Activities include:

  • Networking Opportunities – Connect with peers, mentors, and industry professionals.
  • Industry Insights – Stay updated on the latest trends and emerging technologies.
  • Mentorship – Receive guidance from experienced classmates, professionals and educators.
  • Internships & Job Opportunities – Gain exposure to career prospects through community connections.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking – Develop analytical skills essential for success in tech careers.
  • Supportive Community – Learn in an encouraging environment that fosters growth and creativity.

  • Fall SEM 101
  • Spring SEM 102

Requirements: Students who are interested must register for the Learning Communities sections of Spartan Seminar (SEM) 101 and 102. Participation in iSpartan events and activities, as well as scheduled co-curricular Learning Communities events and activities, is mandatory for those in the iSpartan Learning Community.
