Theatre Company
NSU Theatre Company is the award-winning, nationally recognized, presenting organization for theatrical productions on campus. The company has garnered wide-spread audience acclaim, multiple honors and awards for excellence and presents an annual season of plays and musicals. The company offers its members professional-grade performance and production opportunities, exposure to national competitions and conferences and internships in all areas of theatre.
Membership
Company membership is open to all students and community members. Membership is earned and maintained each semester by successfully auditioning or interviewing for roles and positions available in the company's season.
Mission Statement
The mission of Norfolk State University Theatre Company is to serve as cultural ambassadors for Norfolk State University and diversify theatrical offerings within our region.
This mission will be accomplished by providing University students and the community with professional-grade experiences in theatre that are about or told through the lens of people from the African diaspora.
Vision Statement
The vision for NSU Theatre Company is to establish itself as the preeminent destination for theatre, culture and diversity within our region.

Alpha PSI Omega
National Theatre Honor Society
Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society (ΑΨΩ) is an American recognition honor society for participants in collegiate theatre. The Alpha Cast was founded at Fairmont State College on August 12, 1925.
Norfolk State University is home of the Alpha Theta Kappa Cast. Membership is open to students who meet eligibility and are consistently active in theatre and drama.

THE AUGUST WILSON SOCIETY
The August Wilson Society is a student organization committed to educating students and the community about the life and works of playwright August Wilson.
Membership
Membership into the society is open to all students and is earned through application submissions. Membership is open for new society members at the start of each semester.
The August Wilson National Monologue Competition
An annual major project for society members is The August WIlson National Monologue Competition. The society lends its support to the NSU Theatre Company during competition planning, workshops and the regional competition.
