Psychology Department Programs
Norfolk State Psychology offers a variety of courses covering introductory and specialized topics in psychology and psychological science, as well as practical field experience leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in General Psychology, as well as academic minor tracks in General Psychology and CyberPsychology. We also offer an MS degree in CyberPsychology, Graduate Certificate in CyberPsychology, and a Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. - Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
We offer numerous courses covering introductory and specialized topics in psychology, psychological science, and practical field experiences. The undergraduate program is designed to be completed in four years. - Psychology Undergraduate Manual
- Master of Science in CyberPsychology
This fully asynchronous program is research-intensive and designed to help students master the social science research skills needed to be competitive in business/industry and as prospective doctoral candidates. - Program Handbook (to be posted fall 2021)
- Graduate Certificate in CyberPsychology
This certificate program is for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and are seeking specialized certification in cyberpsychology. We offer a Practitioner track that includes coursework surveying the major topical areas of cyberpsychology, and a Scientist track that emphasizes applied research skills.
- Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology
Norfolk State University is part of the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology (VCPCP) which awards a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. The program provides balanced training in both science (research) and practice (clinical application).
