Mrs. Johnson has over 30 years of administrative experience.  As Administrative and Office Specialist III, she provides business management principles, administrative and data management leadership, and academic level administrative support to the department, school, other administrative offices, and provides a full range staff support services to the principal investigator of several grants.

In 2007, Mrs. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Business, Management Information System.  She has completed courses in the Master of Education degree from the School of Education, Christian Leadership. 

Tammy Q. Johnson, immediate past president of the Norfolk State University Association of Educational Office Professionals (NSUAEOP) was installed as president of the state-wide organization at its Spring Institute on April 21.  Mrs. Johnson will help promote the professional growth of the office professionals and to provide a better understanding of needs and expectations of the University and communities served. Johnson will lead the Virginia Association of Educational Office Professionals (VAEOP) through 2020. She served as NSUAEOP president from 2015 through 2017 and currently serves as a member of the national association’s elections board.
