Refunds
Refunds are given only after all University obligations are paid in full. Financial aid awarded but not received by the University is not considered in the refund calculation.
Refund Process
The refund process will begin after the third full week of classes for each semester. Fall 2020 refunds will begin after September 11, 2020; Spring 2021 will begin after January 29, 2021; and Summer 2021 refunds will begin after June 4, 2021.
Please sign up for direct deposit of refunds through MyNSU to expedite future refunds. Notifications will be sent to students via their NSU e-mail accounts once refunds have been processed.
Direct Deposit
All students may enroll in the Direct Deposit program for student refunds at MyNSU. Students who do not have an active bank account may open a free student eBanking checking account online with Bank of America. Features and benefits of this checking account can also be found on the Bank of America website.
Refund Period for Dropped Classes
Students who drop a class after the 100% drop date will receive a "W" grade, and the dropped class will be included in the classes attempted for financial aid purposes. Dropping a class may result in a reduction or cancellation of financial aid awards. Financial Aid recipients are required to have permission from a Financial Aid Counselor before the drop can be processed.
