Sexual Assault/Campus Interpersonal Violence Prevention, Education & Response Resources
Norfolk State University is the 2020 recipient of the federal Grant to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Stalking on Campus Program sponsored by the Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women. This program aims to strengthen the response of institutions of higher education to the crimes of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking on campuses and enhances collaboration among campuses, local law enforcement, and victim advocacy organizations. This grant, which is housed in the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and Diversity within the Division of Student Affairs provides $300,000 over the course of three years and supports training, education, prevention, and intervention on Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and Stalking incidents on campus.
CCRT Mission
The Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) is a collaborative team of internal and external partners committed to using holistic victim-centered and trauma-informed best practices to create policies, protocols, services, and training to effectively address incidents of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking to meet the needs of an inclusive and culturally diverse campus community.
