   Center for Materials Research
  The Center provides cutting edge research opportunities in well-equipped research facilities using state of the art instrumentation for our graduate and undergraduate science majors.  
  Norfolk State University's Center for Materials Research was established to enhance the materials research capabilities at the university, to encourage faculty development of materials research activities, and to increase the number of minority students obtaining baccalaureate and graduate degrees in materials science disciplines.
