International Programs

NSU's International Programs is at your service.

As an academic division of the Office of the Provost, International Programs is the University entity responsible for supporting, overseeing, and coordinating Norfolk State's international initiatives. International Programs works with all interested programs and services at Norfolk State to assist in international outreach, partnerships, exchanges, research, travel, and funding pursuits. It also provides administrative and behavioral guidelines and regulations, screens national and international venues, and develops NSU-administered sites and curricula for student study abroad.

IP's goals are to:

  • design, coordinate, and support international learning opportunities for students, faculty, and staff through study aboard and exchange programs;
  • connect and facilitate the operations of ongoing campus international initiatives;
  • identify and promote resources available for language study, international travel, academic offerings, and international distance learning;
  • establish international partnerships with colleges, sister city projects, foreign governments, and professional organizations;
  • encourage international interest and activity on campus;
  • provide hospitality and support to NSU's international community; and
  • welcome and host international visitors.
